Theory/Model/ Principle of Learning Teaching Learning Assessment

Cognitivism is a learning theory which deals with how people perceive and remember information, solve problems and ultimately learn. The term ‘cognition’ refers to all processes by which sensory input is transformed, reduced, elaborated, stored, recovered and used.

Topic is air pollution.

Teacher introduce picture of pollution and create scientific enquiry atmosphere to find out how to prevent air pollution. Teacher monitor how the students perceive the problem and remember the previous knowledge.

Helping students find new solutions to problems. Encouraging discussions about what is being taught. Helping students explore and understand how ideas are connected.


Write detailing what they remember from last class about pollution.

Student will be able to classify the causes of air pollution

They discuss and bring out the new solutions to prevent air pollution they understand  how the  current solution is connected with their new ideas.
