How to get equivalency certificate in UAE ? Best and easy way explained

I have been searching for the easiest way to get Equivalency in last few months.. Finally I found the procedure for the same. I will explain to you what I have learnt in this journey.

There are two points to Discuss related to Teacher License in UAE.

1.Genuinity Certificate

2.Equivalency Certificate

1.Genuinity Certificate:

It is a legalization process to verify the genuinity of a certificate.

This can be done via IVS Global Services – Attestation Service , Dubai.

First you have to get attestation on the required certificate ( eg: B.Sc Degree , M.Sc Degree, B.Tech Degree ) by the Govt departments of home county ( eg: India) and UAE. This can be done with the help of certificate attestation agencies. They will charge almost AED 500 – 525  and will take 8 to 10 working days. pickup and drop off service also available with them.

Once the certificate is ready , you have to visit any one of the IVS Global Services – Attestation Service . Their details are given below.

The best time to reach the office is around 7:30 am.
You should carry the  following documents in ORIGINAL and 2 photocopies.
1.Emirates ID.
2.Passport.
3.Attested Degree certificate  (both sides).
4.Marklist ( All including consolidated).
5.DD in favour of University address ( Fees is not required for all universities. Click here to view the university fee list.
You can the DD from any near by western union , keep the same currency in DD as instructed in the above list, that means some university mentioned in INR, but some mentioned in DOLLER ($).
The fee charging their office as given below(as of 14/12/2021).
Attestation Fee : AED 40
ICWF Fee : AED 8
Service Fee : AED 4.50
Total Payable : AED 52.50

Local courier : 31.50 AED

Folder for document’s protection: 4.20 AED
*Additional documents may be needed depending upon the documents presented for attestation.
The IVS Global will send the copies of your certificate to Indian universities via Indian Consulate.
Usually it take more than 3 weeks to get reply from Indian university to Indian Consulate, Dubai.
Once the Genuinity is ready you will receive an email / call ( or both) from Indian consulate informing that the genuinity certificate is ready.
2.Equivalency Certificate:
   The next step is to apply for Equivalency certificate .(Equivalency certification is the process by which the Ministry of Education in UAE endorse the educational qualification and confirm the education to be equal to UAE standard. It involves a few steps of certificate attestation at government departments in the country of origin of the document as well as in UAE.)
Once the Genuinity certificate is ready with you, you have to register or login to Ministry of education website  and and select Eservices.
All details are listed there in a simple and understandable way.
Example 1  : If you are applying to get Equivalency for your Master Degree(M.Sc), you have to upload the copies of M.Sc and B.Sc(BOTH Should be ATTESTED) , Consolidated marksheet of M.Sc( NO NEED ATTESTED MARKSHEET) and Genuinity certificate received from Consulate.
Example 2 : If you are applying to get Equivalency for Bachelor Degree(B.Sc),you have to upload the copies of B.Sc and Plus 2 or equivalent(BOTH Should be ATTESTED) , Consolidated marksheet of B.Sc( NO NEED ATTESTED MARKSHEET) and Genuinity certificate received from Consulate.

  • Bachelor 100 dirhams
  • Postgraduate studies and Masters 150 dirhams
  • Doctorate 200 dirhams
  • Correspondence with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international Cooperation: 100 Dirhams

Acceptance of online payments through the following:

  1. e-Dirham card
  2. post-paid cards

Payment through the customer service centre via e-Dirham or post-paid cards may be accepted.
